Arafat General Hospital with Dr. Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Shitairi, Director of Emergency Section at Al-Thaqar Hospital in Jeddah.  Dr. Abdulaziz has worked for Hajj Season for  at the present time he is the supervisor of the Saudi Fellowship Doctors working at the holy places and supervisor of the visiting Saudi doctors during Hajj season 1429H.

He discussed sharing his experienced;

 " During the first five years when I worked at the holy places hospitals the emergency sections lacked the experience and support. The support was directed to the internal sections and outpatient emergency section but the internal emergency sections had no support. The patient used to be as dead at the emergency section until further notice. But since the years 1422H and 1423H the Emergency Medicine program started to be conducted during Hajj season. We as emergency doctors start to brief the people and spread the culture of Emergency Medicine at the hospitals. There was a big difference between the past and present time. At the present time the Ministry of Health has recruited many emergency doctors. At the same time we benefited from the emergency medicine program under the name of the Saudi Society of Emergency Medicine. This society helped in spreading the emergency medicine during Hajj seasons and enabled the doctors to occupy key jobs at the Holy places hospitals. This is the third or fourth year for the establishment of this program."

Further more he concluded;

"We anticipate a mass gathering of people every year at limited area and at certain time that is why the Ministry of Health Ministry of Health starts its preparations very early for Hajj season and we hope to maintain and sustain it every year."
